O’s Notes: Chad Edwards is an LA-based pianist and composer who’s been working the scene for over forty years. He brings a calming sense to his music on Wyoming Roads. His band is a quartet with Robert Kyle (sax, fl), Hassan Jiffry (b), and Kevin Winard (d). Kyle’s work is notable throughout the set especially on “Wave”. There are delightful reinterpretations of Wayne Shorter’s “Footprints”, with Latin takes of “Alone Together” and “Autumn Leaves”, interspersed among five relaxing, originals.
