O’s Notes: We’ve enjoyed a lot of pianist Roger Kellaway’s work over the years, and this is no exception. We find him in a trio with bassist Jay Leonhardt, and drummer Dennis Mackrel for Live At Mezzrow, a part of the Smalls Living Masters series. Roger displays his prowess without showboating on tunes like “All Blues” including a bowed bass solo from Leonhart, and on “Good Morning Bahia”. We also enjoyed “Pages Of Life”, “So What”, “Straight No Chaser” featuring special guest Roni Benhur on guitar, and “Take The A Train”.
