O’s Notes: Veteran jazz pianist Brad Mehldau pays homage to Bach with nineteen arrangements on After Bach II, a solo project following his first tribute to Bach. Brad intersperses several of his own compositions into the mix for contrast with the classics. Even with those infusions, this is more Bach, than the jazzy Mehldau that we’ve come to enjoy over many years.
