O’s Notes: Vocalist, singing Coach Suzanne Pittson suffered a decline in her abilities about a decade ago. Rather than suspending her successful career, she leaned on her Buddhist spirituality, and the time afforded by the pandemic to take voice lessons and spend endless hours practicing to hone and redefine her skills. She makes her resurgence a family affair with support from son, producer Evan Pittson (violist), and husband Jeff Pittson (p, harmonica). The results are appreciable as she sings with gentle poise, and delicate passion. We enjoyed “It All Goes Round and Round” featuring Jeff on chromatic harmonica, “Blackbird”, “You’ve Got A Friend”, and “What Can I Do”. Emerge Dancing is an inspiration to all of us, in dire times, to never give up.
