O’s Notes: Andrew Wilcox is a young, inspiring pianist who forms a trio with bassist Avery Sharpe and Yoron Israel on drums. On this recording Andrew pays homage to Dear Mr. Hill, the late jazz pianist Andrew Hill, with a nice collection of mostly originals and a couple of timeless classics like “Old Devil Moon “. We enjoyed his joyful bouncy tunes like “Onyx Warrior” and “Muir Woods”. There also relaxing ballads like “Snow Queen” and “Mary”.
