O’s Notes: Re-mind is the second take on Liberosis, a new artform combining jazz and classical genres using tango. Pianist, composer Iseul Kim leads a band with Jaewon Lee (d), Ok Jeong Kim (cello), Jongsu Yoon (violin) and Hoo Kim (b) performing eight, rich improvisations. “A Bag Of Rice”, “Improvisation with Jaewon” – a duet between Kim & Lee, solo piano on “New Iseul”, and the vibrant “Change” & “No Escape ver 2023” (our favorites), are some of the differentiated approaches that kept us engaged.
