His core band includes Rick Roe (p), Rodney Whitaker (b), Quincy Davis (d) and 4 other guitarists. Guest artists are scattered throughout the set notably Langston Kitchen (b) and Michael J. Reed (d) standing in on “The Singer” and “52 Pickup”. We also liked “Riverside Blossoms” featuring Michael Dease on trombone, “Boom Boom” with tenor saxophonist Walter Blanding, and “Jo Jo Jo”.
