O’s Notes: Reedman Jason Rigby performs in a duo with drummer, percussionist Mark Guiliana on Mayhem. Rigby also plays keyboards and percussion. The title is an accurate description of the spontaneous jazz performed here, though it is approachable on most selections courtesy of recording engineer Pete Min who handles signal processing, mixing, mastering. We liked “Sevensixfive”, “Terra Firma”, and “Museum Piece”.
