O’s Notes: Drummer percussionist Colin Hinton forms a trio with pianist Santiago Leibson and bassist Eivind Opsvik. They perform three introspective suites that are at times melancholic but always engaging. Hinton provides excellent percussion and drum work on “Skumringstid – Movement I”, with Leibson and Opsvik coming into the spotlight on “Movement III”. We enjoyed the “Elegy for Ralph” suite best of all.
