O’s Notes: Accentuate the Positive is a celebration of the American Songbook on America’s 250th Birthday. It is a double album packed with 21 songs from the 1920s–40s dedicated to the late Ken Peplowski. The featured artists include some of the best young jazz musicians in New York with Felix Peikli (cl), Bryan Carter (d), and vocalists Robbie Lee (p), Angela Grey, Tahira Clayton, & Wyatt Michael. There also polished vets like Harry Allen (sax), Nikki Parrot Nikki (vocals), Jane Monheit (vocals), and Byron Stripling (vocals, t). These are fine arrangements of classics that are sure to resonate with a large audience.
