O’s Notes: Broken Neon Sign is the solo, debut release for pianist, composer Christian Li. He approaches the global chaotic madness with a free, improvised answer. The music is a studio set with Li providing vocals and lots of edgy instrumentation. “Affirmations”, the haunting “Getaway Car”, “Firmament”, and the title track are some of the more intriguing tunes in a fourteen-song set.
