O’s Notes: Solo guitar with Jimmy Ponder is just what the doctor ordered for stress relief. He starts with “Isn’t She Lovely” and moves through “Lullaby of Birdland” and “Stompin’ At The Savoy”, all with that big, warm, harmonic sound. We even get Jimmy’s vocal accompaniment on “Our Day Will Come”. Though Ponder has recorded on over 100 albums, this is his first solo effort, a sparkler.
