O’s Notes: Oscar displays a wealth of talent here singing, playing guitars, keyboards and a mouth trombone over thirteen songs. He also gets great support from Don Grusin (p) and Toots Thielemans (harmonica). The music is upbeat, jovial and passionate including bossa novas from both Jobim and Gillespie, instrumentals like “Manhã de Carnaval/Prelude #3” with strings, “Send In The Clowns” and “Four Brothers”. This is a pleasant session finding a well-seasoned Castro-Neves continuing to delight us.
