O’s Notes: A Bit of Jazz is just that, a good performance delivered from two polished veterans. Keyboard master Shota Osabe and singer Margie Baker have shared the stage with legendary jazz icons, performed alone and together on the hotel and club scene to the delight of many patrons. This collection is a sampling of some of their best tunes together including “At Last”, “Willow Weep For Me” and “One hundred Ways”. Fred Berry (trumpet) and Michael O’Neill (sax) make guest appearances on a few tunes as well. “East River Drive” and “Sugar” are two of the standout instrumentals of the set. Nothing is overdone, just heartfelt good music!
