O’s Notes: Guitarist Lee Ritenour is the leader/producer of this all-star effort. Motown music needs no introduction. Lee has selected 11 of the best including “Inner City Blues” featuring George Benson (g) & Gerald Albright (sax), “Papa Was A Rolling Stone” with Lisa Fischer (v) & Chris Botti (t), “Just My Imagination” with Will Downing (v) and Stevie Wonder’s “Creepin'” featuring Bob James. Dave Grusin and Brenda Russell also make guest appearances. The arrangements are new but the music is timeless, part of the heart of America’s soul.
