O’s Notes: Adumbrations is perhaps representative of how many felt during the pandemic, mere shadows of themselves without the ability to engage. Josh Sinton (sax, fl, cl), pianist Jed Wilson and drummer Tony Falco celebrate 22 years of friendship but this is their first recording together as a unit. Their fraternal bond provides for respectful interactions that are seamless in a structured, free jazz recording. There are 6 untitled songs with ample passionate soloing. Maybe too edgy for some, we found it to be approachable and musically informative.
