O’s Notes: The combination of funky up-to-date rhythms with cool vocals make Incognito a top contemporary jazz act. Those vocals include surrounding background harmonies that remind us of the good old Motown sound with all of the steps. Listen to “Close My Eyes” and “Fences & Barriers” and you’ll feel what we’re talking about. “The 25th Chapter” and “Mindin’ My Business” are instrumentals with an infectious groove that makes you want to move your body. We kept this one in the changer for an extended period!
