O’s Notes: Harris Eisenstadt is a percussionist/composer who plays some rather eclectic free jazz. Some would call it gone and others, creative genius. Our take leans towards the latter as the music has an open, orderly structure and blends unique sounds and timber of the instruments to create a story. The message is peace and harmony. The seven selections are grouped into two movements, “Non Violence” (3/2004) and “Relief” (1/2005). Each was recorded live at different venues in California. We preferred Relief but both sets are intriguing.
