O’s Notes: Michael plays a variety of reed instruments as well as birdcalls. He teams with Cor Fuhler (p, organ) and Tristan Honsinger (cello) to produce abstract chamber music in a trio. The sound is open and adventurous as the musicians are inspired by spontaneous creativity. Just when it seems that order is secured, simultaneous improving takes over. The rhythms and tones are unique reflections of traditional Dutch music placed into today’s jazz landscape.
