O’s Notes: This live symphonic version of Jobim’s works is done well. The music was all written by Tom Jobim and has been arranged for this session by Paulo Jobim and Mario Adnet. The arrangements are a unique series of transformations that expand the originals beyond their initial scope. What remains if the free flowing spirit and an ultimately relaxing set. It is presented on two CDs. The large ensemble does an excellent job.
