O’s Notes: Red Kite is a Norwegian quartet featuring Evan Helte Hermansen (g), Trond Frønes (b), Brent André Moon (Rhodes) and Torstein Lofthus (d, perc). Apophenian Bliss is their sophomore effort, conceived during the pandemic and mired with all of the misinformation permeating our social channels. The rhythms are driving, intense, and the moods vary over six selections. Our favorites are “This Immortal Coil”, “Apophenia” and “Sleep Tight”.
