O’s Notes: This is a live dynamic band anchored by Shaw’s trio including Rich Syracuse (b) and Jeff Siegel (d). Jeff and Michael Lutzeier (baritone sax) stand out on “Music 4 Food” and the German audience is appreciative. Lutzeier continues asserting himself on “Body And Soul” making the classic come alive. Johannes Enders (tenor sax) is the other featured artist joining the trio for three tracks notably “Stella By Starlight”. Shaw shines on “Lonely Town”, a solo piano effort. He doesn’t get in the way of letting the music shine on the entire set, a winner.
