O’s Notes: Pianist, composer Cyrus Chestnut leads a quartet with Stacey Dillard (t-sax), Gerald Cannon (b), and Chris Beck (d). Chestnut is in prime form while coaxing the best from his band. Rhythm, Melody and Harmony is a rich balanced collection of originals with a few freshly arranged standards. We enjoyed the warm “Prelude For George”, the jovial “Twinkle Tones”, the relaxing “Song For The Andes”, and “Ami’s Dance” among the many highlights.
