O’s Notes: Gerald is undoubtedly one of the most energetic, funky bassists on today’s jazz scene. This recording was done live at Gerald’s Jazz Base in Reading, PA. He gets down to business right away and maintains the momentum throughout the show. Veasley plays a 6-string base that gives him full ability to tackle the melodies that he does exceptionally well. These are classic tunes, all written by Gerald. We like the contagious rhythms of “Valdez In The Country” but it doesn’t stop there. This is a party “On The Fast Track”!
