O’s Notes: Chinua Hawk is a smooth jazz vocalist in the spirit of Jonathan Butler but dialed back a notch. Hawk sings over a smooth, pop groove that has injections of soul from time to time. He wrote most of the tunes with a few cool covers notably “Sailing”. He doesn’t step on any toes as he crafts his way onto the smooth scene.
