O’s Notes: Veteran jazz guitarist Peter Bernstein has performed with a who’s-who in jazz over 35+ years. He’s formed strong musical bonds that lend towards rich musical encounters. He leads the effort on Better Angels with pianist Brad Mehldau, bassist Vicente Archer, and drummer Al Foster making a polished, all-star quartet. The program is rich, a combination of classics and four new originals notably “Ditty For Dewey” and “Hazel Eyes”. Other highlights are “You Go To My Head” and “No Problem”.
