O’s Notes: This is a man from Louisiana with all of the party spirit and inherent entertainment you’ve come to expect from the Crescent City. Kermit plays trumpet and sings songs that are appealing to a broad audience. “Tiger Rag” and “Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner” were my 8-year-old daughter’s favorites and “While I Die” featuring Juanita Brooks (vocals) took us to church. The balance is New Orleans style blues and simply cool jazz like “Stardust”. This is nice work from a rising master.
