O’s Notes: Trombonist Joe Fiedler assembles a brass quartet with fellow trombonists Ryan Keberle and Josh Roseman anchored by Marcus Rojas playing tuba. Seven of the ten selections are original compositions by Fiedler. The music is warm, crisp, and has a lot of bounce, characteristics of great New Orleans jazz. This is a good mix of relaxed ballads and swinging upbeat grooves. We especially enjoyed the interplay on “Ging Gong” and “Urban Groovy”.
