O’s Notes: Scott plays drums and leads a trio with Michael Blake (sax) and bassist Mark Helias. They play cool hard bop mostly written by Neumann with one from Helias and a cover of Roswell Rudd’s “Keep Your Heart Right”. They really cook on “Blues For RQ” the best of a balanced set that sometimes drifts into free jazz.
