O’s Notes: Swingadelic is a neo-swing large ensemble led by bassist Dave Post. They are a New York-based collective that morphs into different configurations to suit the venue and the song. Bluesville is a celebration of all types of blues: electric, acoustic, instrumental and vocal. They do a fine take on Ray Charles’ “Mary Ann” featuring John Bauers singing. Vanessa Perea sings “What’s Your Story, Morning Glory” supported by strong brass. John Bauers takes the mic of “Lonely Avenue” with Kyle Koehler working the organ. These are just a few of the winners in 14 blues tracks that will satisfy a wide audience.
