O’s Notes: Roditi spent a great deal of time in Brazil and developed a passion for the music and the people hence Bons Amigos. This collection of ten selections is a combination of masterpieces by Jobim, Gismoti, Elias and Horta with a few Roditi originals. The band is Romero Lubambo (g), Donald Vega (p), Marco Panascia (b) and Mauricio Zottarelli (d) with leader Claudio Roditi breathing warm tones through his trumpet and flugelhorn. The session is rich with bossa nova beats and is enjoyable start to finish.
