O’s Notes: Malandro, the Brazilian jazz label, celebrates Brazil’s quincentennial with ample doses of bossa nova, samba, choro and MPB (Brazilian pop). It’s an excellent sampling with each of 17 artists contributing a hit. It is a bargain priced (MSRP 6.99, including S&H!) limited edition. Recommended.
