O’s Notes: Luiz Millan is an under the radar Brazilian vocalist and composer who stands tall and surfaces here with a wealth of talent! There are beautiful, harmonies from The New York Voices on “Full Moon”, warm Brazilian rhythms on “Andar Descalço” featuring Randy Brecker (t). There are bossa nova beats on “Morungaba”, and sweet ballads like “Ecos Da Juventude”. Bassist Mark Egan, David Sanborn (a-sax), Eddie Daniels (cl), Ada Rovatti (t-Sax), and Lisa Ono (vocals) all make notable contributions. Brazilian March is a fine taste of the music and spirit of the country!
