O’s Notes: The core of the band is producer/writer Stuart Wade, Neil Cowley (keys), Neil Angilley (keys) and bassist Richard Sadler. They put together a funky groove that simply flows. In addition to their standard funky club beats Cellar Funk adds a touch of Latin with “Dancing To A Samba” and accenting vocals from Flora Purim on “The Flow”. Songs like “LA Shakedown” reminds us of the James Brown groove but the DTTB signature is best exemplified by songs like “I’ll Always Hold You Close”. It is easy to enjoy repeatedly.
