O’s Notes: Buckle up and get ready for a funky, urban, club adventure on Chillin out in Dark Places, an appropriately titled set. There is a pulsating bass and drum beat that extends through the entire episode. The seductive, suggestive gasping on “What’s Your Secret” brings the truth to light but we truly enjoyed the funky “Morning After”, a taste of the many funky riffs from the set. The songs bleed into each other like a true urban party jam. Blessett is a one-man show here playing all instruments and engineering the set.
