O’s Notes: Mary Ann Redmond (vocals, g), Paul Langosch (b) and Jay Cooley (keyboards) form the core band with support from Dave Mattacks (d, perc), Dan Hovey (g) and Bruce Swaim (sax). They play twelve roots based R&B and honky-tonk blues. They are mostly classics with touches of Spain, Memphis and New Orleans sprinkled in. Redmond’s voice is well suited for the material and we enjoyed the program, especially “Creepin”, “Fool on the Hill” and the title track.
