O’s Notes: Bassist Edgar Pagan and keyboardist Bill DiCosimo are a familiar duo in central New York playing with Grupo Pagan. They pitch Con Moto as a solo album with producer Jimmy Haslip who chips in on keyboards, percussion and vocals. There are many other contributors including Jeff Lorber (keys), Gary Novak (d), Jimmy Branly (perc) and Jeff Richman (g). “So It Begins” on a funky note before they weave in covers of two classic contemporary tunes, “Cisco Kid” and “Magic Carpet Ride”, and four other originals in 32+ minutes of pleasure. They wrap up with a taste of reggae on “Show The World” making a standout session.
