O’s Notes: It’s tough not to like these Davis compilations. The man made so many great recordings; the only challenge is not mixing styles (fusion, bebop) to the dismay of some listeners. This release captures most of the bebop hits with and some of his foray into fusion. There is even a remix of “It’s About That Time “ released for the first time. We favor the classics and there is enough here for any Miles fan including “Milestones”, “Time After Time”, “E.S.P.”, “Stella By Starlight” and “Seven Steps To Heaven”.
