O’s Notes: Bassist, composer, arranger and producer Joseph Patrick Moore has a funky contemporary style that pulls elements from Stanley Clarke, Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis. Moore is also a founding partner of Blue Canoe Records! He invites a wealth of guest artists to the party to add differentiated color to the program. Enrico Scott (d) stars on “Quest”, Rat Bastardz and Seth Condrey are featured on the pounding remix of “To Africa With Love” and Chantal Cann and China Hawk star on “Careless Wonder”. The vocal:instrumental split adds even more diversity. They end with a warm rendition of “Silent Night” featuring Dan Baraszu (g).
