O’s Notes: This is a live recording at Antibes, France in 1975 featuring 64 year old leader and trumpet player, Roy Eldridge. He has good company with Johnny Griffin (sax), Ray Bryant (p), Niels-Henning ¯rsted Pedersen (b) and Louis Bellson (d). They all cook with an abundance of energy packed into four tracks – jammin’ dynamic, concert versions which dazzle the audience.
