O’s Notes: Guitarist Randy Johnston joins “Fathead” Newman (s), Joey DeFrancesco (organ) and Byron Landham (d) to cook up some cool bluesy jazz, a couple of originals and a couple of covers. He plays a big box Guild guitar with fat sound. Johnston is adept on upbeat songs like “Two Step Snake” as well as on ballads like the title track. This is a worth while detour.
