O’s Notes: Cryptic Cadet is keyboardist, programmer Mark Owen and drummer programmer Cam Tyler. They invite bassist Tim Lefebvre to add weight. Olivia Rubini adds soft pleasing vocals , and guitarist Matt Ascione adds an element of fusion to the mix, notably on “Eyes Not My Own”. They also get a tad funky on “Passing” rounding out a pop/,jazz set that is more than a duo.
