O’s Notes: Donn Bynum is a talented musician who plays sax, sings and had a hand in writing most of the songs on this album. His key partner, Lew Laing shared the writing responsibilities as well as all keyboards and drum programming. The program is ten warm ballads and mid tempo grooves like “Do You Feel Me”. Don breathes heartfelt passion through his sax and on the mic on “Can I Have Your Heart”, a good example of the vocal tracks. There is also a cool cover of “Anniversary” with Matt Hamel singing. Paul Jackson Jr. (g) and Raymond Johnson (d) play on several songs adding more depth and dimension to the mix. Bernie Worrell (synth keyboards) of Parliament fame brings his wizardry to a few tunes as well notably “New Age Funk”. This is one NAC fans, R&B lovers and smooth jazz fans will want in their collections.
