O’s Notes: Trumpeter Matt White pays tribute to Dolly Parton with jazzed up arrangements of many of her hits. The band is Tim Fischer (g), Demetrius Doctor (organ), and Colleen Clark (d). We liked each of the three instrumental takes on “9 To 5”, Down From Dover” and “Little Bird” featuring vocalist Liz Kelley. There is straight-ahead jazz, funky, and jazzed country that make a unique session.
