O’s Notes: Romero’s flamenco guitar is romantic, electrifying and seductive! Bassist Mario Rodriguez adds electric bass that makes the beats sizzle. Rock (trumpet) makes a brief but noteworthy appearance on two tracks. And of course there is lots of percussion and festive singing to keep the spirit up. Most of the songs are upbeat but they also reduce the pace, but not the intensity on “Duende”. Very good indeed!
