O’s Notes: The organ trio is amongst the coolest jazz ensembles. Pat leads playing the B3 with guitarist Mark Whitfield and Byron Landham on drums. They keep it mixed nicely with burners like “Dizzy’s Business” and ballads like “Theme For Ernie”. There are eight well-developed covers that are very well executed. Pat keeps the juices flowing but it’s Whitfield who is cooking, fast, slow and all speeds in between!
