O’s Notes: Contemporary jazz saxophonist Bob Reynolds lights the flame on his latest release Eddie Told Me So remembering the insatiable groove of Eddie Harris. Andrew Renfroe (g), Mike Gurrola (b), and Charles Ruggiero (d) round out the band. Reynolds is soulful on “When Your Lover Has Gone”, swinging on “Change Partners”, funky on the title track, and grooving on “Harrisburg”. Gurrola takes a stroll on “Just Friends” before they wrap up the set with a warm expression of “You Don’t Know What Love Is”.
