O’s Notes: Calvin is a veteran jazz guitarist having performed with many world-class artists including Ray Charles and Ahmad Jamal. This is his first album as a leader in seven years. He appears with help from a solid team including Mike Rinta (tb), and Matt Montgomery (b, p). Nine of the ten selections are all new originals mostly leaning towards the blues. Our favorite is Keys solo ballad “Touch”.
