O’s Notes: Acute Inflections is a New York-based duo featuring vocalist Elasea Douglas and bassist Sadiki Pierre. They choose a minimalist effect to accentuate classic ballads with fresh arrangements and a couple of originals. It takes a lot of courage to perform in a thinly veiled atmosphere but both musicians are up to the challenge presenting soft, vibrant, tonally accurate vocals and a rhythmic bass with slap percussion making this an enjoyable experience. “At Last”, “I’ll Be Around” and “Besame Mucho” are a few of the timeless classics on Electric Psychology.
