O’s Notes: Jean-Paul “Bluey” Maunick continues to lead a band that has established a groove that works. The beats are contagious and the harmonized vocals are soulful. The guitar work of Tony Remy and Bluey are defining ingredients. “Come Away With Me” is a prime example featuring Maysa on vocals. Imani takes the lead singing on “Baby It’s Alright”, a tune that reminded us of Chaka Kahn. There are also funky instrumentals like “Jacaranda” with sharp brass accents. Collectively there is a lot to like on Eleven, yet another strong album from Incognito.
